Poodles Parlour - Chester

I'm back!!

We've been having a wonderful summer, hope you are too!

So yesterday I went to the city, my oldest son and I both needed a haircut (and I had to dye my roots..LOL). I also had to drop off the 4 sweet sixteen cards I made for one of her clients, now one of mine..YAY, and at the same time I got another request for 2 birhday cards for an 11 year old boy.

Here is my first creation!!

I won at Poodles Parlour a while back, 4 images, this is Chester, isn't he sweet!

The one thing this boy loves is soccer so of course I wanted to add some soccer balls. I also used my Happy Birthday embossing folder, since I did not use any patterned paper it give the card the added touch it needed, some texture. Then I added ribbon and brads and VOILA!!

Here are the challenges and that I've entered:
Anything Goes Challenge, #72 Let's not be squares (used circles and rectangles on my card)
Creative Card Crew, challenge 15 use black card stock (my background paper)
Divas by Design, #45 Happy Birthday (written all over my white embossed paper)
Brown Sugar Challenges, #3 Black, white and a splash of color.
Come & Get it Challenges, Bingo (Ribbon/Free/Punched shapes) the circles are my punched shapes.

I have another one to show you, coming up next!!

Actually, I showed this one to a few people and got many requests...not bad at all!!

Here it is:

And here is what a side view looks like:

The text reads, "As the droplets of water are placed upon you, you are wrapped in God's pecious love, may he bless, guide and protect you keeping you safe, healthy and happy from above. God bless you little Angel." Isn't that just the sweetest!!

I know Melissa will love it, I made it special for our PRINCIPESSA!!!

We were poolside all weekend and yes with a full house both days, both family and friends, it was FANTASTIC!!!

I did have time before the weekend began to make a few cards. I've been following Freshly Made Sketches for a while now. I just love them because they are simple yet leave lots of room for you imagination. AND I added a great color combo from The Cat's Pyjamas.

Here is the sketch, color combo and card:

Isn't it pretty!!

I used me stamp and die cut set for the butterfly and flowers, you can make such great emblellishments with these Sizzix sets. The "Thank-You" is a sticker, that was easy enough!!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Hi again,

I think this is my most simplest card I've done so far, it is very CAS!!!

Here is my final Sweet 16 card..for now!!

I used a sketch from Waltzing Mouse Sketch but I didn't realize, once I had completed the card, that I had to use their image, oh well. I think it came out great and it's a great sketch.

Here is the sketch, WMSC#105WMSC105

I used my embossing folders, one of which I use often, the small dots, and the other I just bought, it's baby's breath, just love embossing. The color combo is from Dynamic Duo's #10 but I did notmake it in time (my card was completed last night but it was too late to post it   ;((  I hate when that happens...oh well.) Here is the color combo:

I will be entering the following challenges

That's it for me today, and probably for the rest of the week and weekend. They are calling for FABULOUS weather so we'll be outside soaking it all up.
