Simply the best DAD!

Hi there!!

What a day we've had here in Montreal!! We started the day with a BANG, literally! First lightening and thunder at 5am. Then the sun came out and lots of humidity during the day, once it hit 4pm the lightening and thunder started again and then RAIN, RAIN and more RAIN!!! We had to empty the pool..LOL!!

I'm mourning the loss of my grandfather today :( the weather was very appropriate for it. Although I am glad he is not suffering anymore it still makes me sad to think that he won't be there anymore...Rest in Peace NONNO, we love you very much :(

I had loving father o my mind so I thought I'd make a father's day card today. I searched for some ideas on the www and found a great sketch and color combo, here is my card:

I distressed all the edges and my sentiment with Old Paper distress ink from Holtz and used my scalloped circle and plain circle nestabilities. I also used one of my EK border punches, love them!!

I used this sketch from Deconstructing Jen and this color combo from Colour Q:

Deconstructed Sketch No. 53

I'm entering the following challenges:
Deconstrucitng Jen, sketch #53
Colour Q, cQc#139
Jackson's Digital Expressions, anything goes plus a twist using Holtz
Die Cuttin' Divas, Anything goes plus use a die cut
Tuesday Throwdown, Masculine
Simon Says Stamps challenge, Father's Day

Have a good night, hope to see you soon!

love & create ...with a smile :)
Cinzia

I'm so very sorry for your lost. It's always for the one left behind that it's the hardest... even when we know that they are better where they are.

I love your card. What a great way to channel that energy!

Thanks for entering Jackson's Digital ;) Hope you will join next week as well.

Cinzia, This is a very nice card! I love how you interpreted the sketch, very nice. The border punch at the bottom of your strip is a perfect compliment to the dp above it. This is just visually so clean and eye catching. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Jackson's Digital Expressions!
