Lost Fairy - TSC

Hello everyone!!

What a wonderful week we've had, finally it's getting warmer!! The rain helped melt all our snow away, our front lawn and the deck is clear, there are only a few spots in our backyard, YAY!!

I wanted to play along with The Stamping Chef 's facebook challenge this week, her images are phenomenal and this week it's a Fairy!! Check out my card:

Here is a closer look at my copic coloring and the sentiment, it's a wood mounted stamp I got a while back. Since she is a "Lost Fairy" I figured she'd need help finding her way back, and who wouldn't want to find a way to peace right?!?!?!

For this card I also followed this color combo from Color Throwdown, CTD238:



I used lots of dies and a border punch. I added distressed ink around the circle dies and some black rhinestones for some bling. I also followed this sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday!

I Love You MOM - Penny Black

Today was a dull and sad day! Not only because of the weather..but worse because of what happened in Boston ;(

My heart goes out to all the victims, the 3 that are no longer with us and the ones who have sever injures, my prayers are with them all!! May God be with them always!

On a lighter note, I've been meaning to use my stamps, I have a whole bunch that I pre-stamped a while ago, mostly Penny Black stamps!! I just fell in love with them, and the rest is history!!

I wanted to play along the Penny Black Saturday Challenge, so I searched through my stash of pre-stamped images and found this cute little guy. The challenge this week is the following sketch:

And here is my card!!

Here's the image colored. I used my water color pencils from Faber Castle (mostly because Ii had pre-stamped on water colored paper and I did not own any copics before). And the letters are from a new die that I purchased from Quick Kutz - high rise.

Isn't he just the cutest! I made this for a Mother's Day card, but it can also be used for a Birthday or a "just because"card for MOM!!

For this card I used a scalloped heart die and instead of cutting through card stock I used foam..it's so COOL and it gives added dimension!! I also used twine, a button and added glitter to the hearts on the DP for added shine and glitter.

Birdie Brown & FMS81 - find joy everyday

Hello!!

Today was sunny but still a little chilly here, even so the kids and I stayed outside to soak up a little vitamin D while my husband switched our tires from winter to summer  ones! Our dog Chico had fun too, he saw a cat and went crazy..LOL!!

I had done some coloring last week and today I got cracking on creating a card for a few of them, here's one!!

I stopped by Birdie Brown and saw that they have an April freebie challenge, so of course I couldn't pass that up especially when I saw this adorable image, Camera & Little Bird plus the sentimentl!! Here is a closer look at the image colored in copics.



Isn't it the sweetest!! This is a great card for several occasions, perfect for Mother's day coming up or a birthday card for a special someone!!

For this card I followed a sketch from Freshly Made sketches#81:


I also used 3 dies, some dew drops and the strip of orange DP came from the 12x12 paper I'm suing from American Crafts,  it came in really handy!! and of course some flowers from my stash.

Merry Monday #57 sketch

Hello everyone,

I made another Christmas card today, I wanted to enter the Always Playing with Paper, Merry Monday challenge #57 sketch.

I wanted to keep it simple and made the paper do all the talking. From the sparkling DP to the embossed red stripe and the christmas trees. I I also embossed the die cut shape and added a simple stamped sentiment.

Vintage from The Cottage Market - Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!!

I've been a little lazy lazy lately when it comes to crafting..sorry ;(( I'm catching up on some movies like "Les Miserables" and "Lincoln", there are just so many great movies out there and I need to catch up...LOL!! This weekend it's "The Hobbit" can't wait to see that one, my husband and I are big "Lord of the Rings" fans!!

OK so I lied a little, I did have time for one card this week..LOL!! well I wouldn't be blogging if I didn't have a card right?!?!

Isn't she FABULOUS!!! This is just one of the gorgeous freebies from The Cottage Market. PLUS they are already pre-colored...totally FAB right!! I know the perfect person for this card, and it's her birthday this month YAY!! Can't wait for her to see it!!

Merry Monday #56 - Happy Holidays

I'm back with a Christmas Card!!

Yes the chilly day is making me feel that way, plus the snow is still very visible here and I'm always up for being prepared for next year..LOL!!

Of course I wanted to play with Always Playing with Paper and their Merry Monday challenge, and this week it's a sketch, YAY!!

For this card I used a great DP in the background so I kept the tags neutral but I played with textures. I added a sentiment on the tag, it's a stamp, and some holly brads, ribbon and dew drops from my stash.

Bride-to be with Cuttlebug Cuties- Sweetheart Rebecca

Hello everyone,

We had a quiet Saturday, it's still chilly here. My kids rode their bikes which was very exciting since they haven't done that since October.  I too soaked up some Vitamin D walking my dog, he is loving the warmer weather. He was not a fan of walking in the snow, not sure he ever did before. We rescued him in August 2012 and it seems like he was trained on a doggie mat, it took forever to house train him, we still have a few accidents now and then but overall he is doing much better.

This week I had a card request for a bridal shower so I immediately looked at my stamps/digis and remembered I had a wedding girl from Cuttlebug Cuties , called Sweetheart Rebecca, that would be perfect for it, check it out:

I decided to use the wedding invitation as inspiration, silver and pale lavender. I paper pieced her dress, here is a closer look at the dress and the copic coloring:

 I typed up the sentiment on word:

I added lots of white/silver/lavender pearls, I think it makes the card look very elegant. I also used 3 different dies and a corner punch. I  added some shine using silver chalk around the image, it's tough to see here but up close it's really shiny..LOL!!

Bugaboo Gus Hunting - SSS134

TGIF everyone! and Happy weekend ahead!!

Today I wanted to work with the Stella Says Sketch SSS134. I knew I wanted to use Gus Hunting and I  love the sketch! My dad's birthday is at the end of the month and he is a HUNTER ever since I can remember. I have tons of pictures of my brother and I when we were little sitting on the deer that my father caught..it's surprising that we weren't scared ..LOL!!

Here's my card:

LOL, Gus makes me laugh!! He reminds me so much of my DAD, hard for them to smile, often grouchy..LOL! My dad had a hard life he smiles more now that he is retired and enjoys his grandchildren, but growing up the smiles were very few. Oh well, no looking back right only forward!!

Here is a closer look at my copic coloring and at the inside of the card! Since I used black card stock I had to add something inside for us to write on.

Here is the Stella Says Sketch:

For this card I used a bottle cap for the first time. Since it has holes on the either side I added black twine to keep it in place. I thought it was a great masculine touch instead of a flower. I also used dew drops and  moose brads.

Here is a closer look at my copic coloring. This image was so much fun to color! She is absolutely adorable!!

The sentiment is a stamp from my stash. I can use this for Mother's day or other occasions like birthday's!

For this card I used I used brads, ribbon and some twine from my stash. Of course a spellbinder die and some stickles for some sparkle and shine!

TSC Sketch challenge & Becca Boo

Hello everyone!!

It's cold today, they are saying it will get warmer tomorrow, I'm hoping they are right because..... Brrr... I really want to put away all the winter gear!!

Today I played around with Becca Boo from The Stamping Chef! AND they also have a great sketch challenge, so I put them together and made this card:

Here is a closer look at the image colored in copics and the sentiment from Digi Doodle Shop. I thought this would make a great Mother's Day card, very spingy too!

For this card I used 3 different dies, labels 11, picot edge circle and belle rose hed 712. I think they are all spellbinders except the last one. I also added flowers, ribbon, brads and gems from my stash.

I had so much fun making this card, it's fun when you have lots of inspiration around like the sketches and other challenges out there, thanks to all of you!!
