Anything but a card - Book mark

I made something new today!!

I've been meaning to make a book mark for my son Emanuel. He's in grade three and just learned how to read in English. He's in a French immersion program so the first 3 years were in French. He's been doing a great job keeping up with reading in both languages so I wanted to give him a little something to remind him how proud we are of him!!

I also used a freebie sentiment from Create with TLC:

And of course Mateo was a little envious so I made him a quick one too!! just some extra papers lying around and I added his name too!

For Emanuel's book mark I used some ABC ribbon and used a brad to attach it. I also added a well done sticker and I printed his name with my label maker.

DTBST#165 - Preggo Honey

Hello everyone,

Today I wanted to play along with Sassy Studio Designs DTBST #165 challenge, this week it's about stitching real or faux, I went with faux. ( I'm really not good with a sewing machine LOL)

Here is my card:

I followed this sketch from Our Creative Corner

And I followed the Bugaboo February Bingo - Ribbon, Charm & Heart.
 

For this card I used some ribbon and a charm, and a gel pen to make the faux stitching. I also put a brad in the middle of the BABY word. It was so much fun making this card. Pregnancy is such a beautifil thing, a real gift and a miracle. I loved being pregnant with my two boys, memories I will treasure forever!!

Xmas - Black with Gold

It's me again!!
I wanted to show you another way I used the Penny Black stamp from my previous post!

Here is another card using black and Gold!!

For this card I followed a sketch from Sketch Saturday:

I didn't add a sentiment because the sentiment is in the stamp, so instead I added some trees that I punched out with my CM border punch. I also used the same technique of heat embossing the tree. It's amazing what a different result you get when stamping on darker paper. I think it's just as elegant as the other card.

Merry Monday#50 - It's Xmas again

Hello everyone,

It wasn't too hard to make this next creation since it feels like Christmas all over again, LOL!! It's snowing here in Quebec, Canada. I think we got 10-15cms yesterday and maybe another 5cms today it's not much but it's very windy so it looks like a Winter Wonderland. Winter is very long here but when it's this pretty it's tough to be sad about it ;))

I wanted to participate in Merry Monday challenges again this week and the theme is Elegance!!

What I love most about this stamp from Penny Black (40-080 kind wishes) is that it says the same thing in many languages so for me it's perfect since I'm Italian and my husband is Portuguese. I will be using this stamp to make cards to send to Italy and Portugal next holiday season for sure!

For this card, I stamped with a versamark stamp pad, added embossing powder, Kaleidoscope from Stampendous, and heat embossed it, it's the perfect amount of elegance don't you think!!

I also added some bling and ribbon from American Crafts.

FMS73 - Happy 2nd Birthday - Ava from Bugaboo

Happy Sunday everyone!!

Well this weekend wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be ;((  My husband and I  had to cancel our Saturday night date and today's lunch date with our most favorite poeple...Why you may ask? our youngest is sick ;((( yep he has fever and his ear hurts, my poor baby!! Looks like we're headed to see is doctor tomorrow!

So while he is "resting" (I do not know how they can be so energetic with a fever..LOL) I decided to craft away, here is the first card I made using Freshly Made Sketches#73:

And a closer look at my copic coloring. I actually used Prisma crayons for her hair because my copic marker collection is still not big and the little girl this is for has auburn hair, I think it came out OK!! Oh boy..This makes me want to buy more COPICS...LOL!!

The image is from Bugaboo Stamps, her name is BBrat Big Bow sitter, she is adorable!! I love how it looks like she's sitting , too cute!!

For this card I used LOTS of dies and embossing, ribbon, a brad and flowers (the red one at the bottom is a punch the 2 on top are purchased) with a flourish. I used a sentiment from Desert Diva and added a sticker number 2!

SSS130 - Deacon for a boys b-day

Hello again,

Today I made a birthday card with one of my boys in mind. My youngest will be 5 next month so I'm making a few birthday cards in advance.

Here is my creation using Bugaboo Stamps, Deacon Bug Boy:

For this card I used lots of patterned paper, which is not common for me, but I think it turned out great!! It's something that works for boys especially my youngest, he's FULL of energy ALL the time!!! LOL

I also used bug brads from Eyelet Outlet, border dies and a square scallop die from Spellbinders and of course a couple of dew drops.

It's X-mas again - Merry Monday #49

It's X-mas for me again...LOL!

I'm keeping a promise I made to myself and that is to make xmas cards thoughout the year! It's so much fun to do xmas cards when it's not x-mas, less pressure that's for sure!!!

This week at Merry Monday the challenge is a sketch, here is my card:

This image came pre-colored and it's from Dustin Pike. I love coloring, especially with Copic Markers but sometimes it's fun to spend the time designing  the card and playing with a sketch rather then coloring the image.

Here is a close up of the image and the sentiment. Unfortunately I don't remember where I got it, I do know it was a freebie, so a shout out to all you artists that do that, share your amazing talents with all of us!!! THANKS A BUNCH!!

** I remembered!!!  I was loking through my computer files and I found the sentiment in my Digi Doodle Shop folder..YAY!! **

For this card I used the a scallop square die and a small scalloped border die as well. I also added ribbon, a bow and some buttons.

Happy Birthday - Bird from Pollycraft Digis

Hope you are all having a great week. It's milder today in Quebec, Canada,  it feels good to have some relief from the COLD...brrr!!!

Have a Purrrfect Birthday

I have one final creation to show you, it's a cute kitty from Pollycraft Digis, another great image that I've had from them for a while but haven't used yet...here it is:

I just love this cute kitten!! I have a cat myself, her name is Lola but she's Black.

For this card I used a border punch, a flower die and a grass die. I also added some stickles to the flowers.

Just Smile - hedgehog with flower

Well today is another snowy day here, but we're not supposed to get much, still it's making the roads very slippery so instead of going out I decided to blog a few of my creations...Here goes!!

First I'd like to share a cute little hedgehog, his name is Ferguson and he was a freebie from Pollycraft Digis which is now closed I believe!!

Here is my creation:

He's cute right!!! This is the first time I color something so dark and I was really really nervous about it! I think for my first try it came out OK! This is the sketch I followed by The Sweetest Thing,  Sweet Sunday Sketch #177.

I'd go out on a limb for YOU!!

Well the weekend is OVER ;(((  but it was a great one and it ended with a high note so no complaints just wish it could last longer!!

Today I want to share with you an image, a stamp set actually, that I've had for a while but haven't got around to using it yet. The card already got snatched up by my sister-in-law for one of her girlfriends, here it is:

Isn't this adorable!! The stamp and sentiment set is from Stampendous, Cling Tree Limb Set. I forget how much fun stamping can be, the key is to take the time to stamp a whole bunch and then you have them on hand when you need them, and that's exactly what I did with this one.

For this card I used 2 different ribbons, dew drops, a die (3 sizes) and glitter liner from Viva Decor. I did follow a sketch from Sketch n Stash challenge #106, but unfortunately the challenge is closed..oh well better luck next time!!!

Freshly Made Sketches - Fairy

Happy weekend everyone!! Hope you are all enjoying it!!

We had a snow storm yesterday, not much snow but very windy and so the blowing snow made it impossible to drive. We were in luck, my husband can work from home, I don't work Friday's and my kids had a ped day, so for us it's a 3 day weekend, YAY!!!

I've been busy making cards for special occasions coming soon so there are many that I do not want to post because I don;t want the people they are for to see them, but here is one that I made for the just in case I need one box..LOL!!

Isn't she a pretty fairy!! I took a copic coloring class and this image was given to me to learn how to color, so she is one of my first copic coloring images, wish I could remember who makes her..sorry ;(( if anyone knows please tell me so I can link it.

For this card I used come twine, ribbon, stickles and a spellbinder die. I also added some bling at the bottom and stamped the sentiment.

X-mas in February!!

Hello!!!

I decided to get a head start on my Christmas cards , I guess the winter is getting to me..LOL!!

To help me with that there is an amazing blog, Always Playing with Paper that has a weekly challenge called Merry Monday, this week is a color challenge, here is my card:

I love the non-traditional colors, it's a change from the red and green we usually see for Xmas cards!

For this card I used a great freebie image by Sliekje's Digi Stamps, an image I've had for a while and am so happy to finally color it up and use it, isn't he the cutest reindeer!!

I used some dew drops and of course another new die..LOL..I know I'm addicted!!
