Simply the best DAD!

Hi there!!

What a day we've had here in Montreal!! We started the day with a BANG, literally! First lightening and thunder at 5am. Then the sun came out and lots of humidity during the day, once it hit 4pm the lightening and thunder started again and then RAIN, RAIN and more RAIN!!! We had to empty the pool..LOL!!

I'm mourning the loss of my grandfather today :( the weather was very appropriate for it. Although I am glad he is not suffering anymore it still makes me sad to think that he won't be there anymore...Rest in Peace NONNO, we love you very much :(

I had loving father o my mind so I thought I'd make a father's day card today. I searched for some ideas on the www and found a great sketch and color combo, here is my card:

I distressed all the edges and my sentiment with Old Paper distress ink from Holtz and used my scalloped circle and plain circle nestabilities. I also used one of my EK border punches, love them!!

Cool to be You!!

Hello everyone,

Oh how I've missed all of you!!!

We've had some amazing weather here in Montreal so I took advantage and stayed outside with my boys and hubby! This past weekend we had the whole family over, 13 people in all, it was AMAZING!!

I took some time today to make a few cards that I need to give out. One is for my friends teenage son and the other 2 are for my nephew who's turning 2 (for my mom and myself).

For the teenage boy card I followed the Dynamic Duos color challenge and the CPS Sketch 267:



Here is the card:

I used a new digi image that I bought from Pollycraft Digital Stamps, an amazing site, I just love their images!! I actually bought several of them..LOL!!

WOW what a rain shower we are having right now!! It's raining cats and dogs, happy for my flowers, not so happy that I had to cook inside instead of BBQ'ing ;(( oh well, everything has a purpose!!

Hello everyone!!

What a FABULOUS Victoria Day weekend we had!!! No time for crafting for me, spent all my time outside planting, helping my husband and playing with the kids. The deck is done and the furniture is all up. My pretty flowers are potted and on the deck as well. We started the pool, we just have to have the water tested and add the salt. We're hoping to be in it by the weekend..WOOHOO!!!

See this is exciting for us because we have long winters and much shorter summers so we get pretty hyped up when the heat comes our way..LOL!!

Today, on the other hand, I did have time to craft because the kids are back in school, I only worked half a day and it's raining, bitter sweet right ;)))

Dad-fishing

Hi everyone,

What a GORGEOUS day we had today!! We went FLOWER shopping!! The kids helped me choose, they were so excited, then we planted them and I tackled weeding some more, man those things are everywhere!!!

I had time tonight to make a quick card. I wanted to start my father's day card requests and of course one for my DAD. When I think of my dad I think of hunting and fishing...he's is a WILD kind of guy..LOL..and loves NATURE!!

So here is my card,  I used paper that I've had for a while, hoping to use it for my dad one day, glad I remembered!!

Kutie Kim Roller Girl

Good day everyone!!

What an awesome day it is! I'm home with the boys, we just came in from being outside for a few hours, the kids enjoyed themselves while I tackled more weeding!!

Yesterday I showed you a great card. As all of you know I usually make 2 of every card  and sometimes I charge it upt, well last night I didn't complete the second card so here it is:

This is another Sassy Studio Design image, Kutie Kim! Like I mentioned before it's the same set up as yesterday's card but I changed the image and sentiment.

It's a quick post today, I will go back outside to enjoy the great weather we are finally having. Then working on the backyard again. We also have to work on the deck and set up the pool, YAY!!

Cassie Graduation

******THIS IS MY 100TH POST*****

I am so happy, it's been a fun 100!!! Thanks to all of you for the inspiration, easy access to wonderful blogs and challenges!
We had a great day today, hope you did too! The kids were GREAT ..YAY for me and they are healthy (we went for their annual check-up) we are so BLESSED!!!

Today I wanted to complete a card for a friend of mine who's daughter is graduating high school. I had a little trouble picking my paper, not sure why, maybe too much choice..LOL!! Or I'm just hard on myself and always want it to be perfect, yep I think that's it! In the end I really love the result.

What also makes this card AMAZING is that I used another great image from SASSY STUDIO DESIGNS, Love it!!

Let me start off by telling you how happy I am that I got my envelopes for my 6x6 cards..YAY!! I missed making them. There are so many sketches out there that just don't work with a 5x7 card and I really do not enjoy making envelopes, thanks to Clearbags.ca I don't have to!! 

Today I tackled this sketch from Sassy Studio Designs:
 
The challenge also states that you must use a Sassy Studio Designs image, well I've been meaning to do that so it was a great opportunity for me..LOL!! I purchased 3 and used this one!!

 I always make 2 sets, so I used a Kraftin'Kimmie stamp for card #2.


These cards are very girly!! I just love them!!

Hello again,

When I started card making the first stamps that were introduced to me were PENNY BLACK stamps. I took a course at Bonne Idee and I was hooked. Following their blog I noticed this week that they have a "In the Garden" theme and of course you must use their stamp in the challenge. I pulled out all my stamps and found this OLDIE. In fact it's not really an oldie I just haven't used it in my blogs.

Penny Black also makes the Mimi's and the Hedgie's that I love so much!!

Isn't it great!! I did it in a sold color because I wanted to enter the weekly color challenge from Dynamic Duos:

I need to make a lot of thank-you cards since the end of the school year is approaching and my son goes to a French immersion school, this is the reason behind the "MERCI"!!

True Love

Howdy everyone!!

Before I begin my post I want to thank Die Cuttin' Divas, I won their challenge #64 with my Dream-butterfly card, YAY!!! I am honored and flattered, thanks so so much!!

On to my post! With this card I had an idea in mind..my cousin Melissa needs a card for an engagement/wedding and she said the couples invitation was black lace and beige. I searched through the blogs and found this great sketch from Deconstructing Jen :



This is my take on it:

I substituted the circle for the 2 die cut hearts representing LOVE of course, fitting for the occasion!! I got the die cut hearts when Bonne Idee was having their moving sale, it was a steal!!

I also got this gorgeous lace at Scrapbook Centrale and the paper is from My Mind's Eye, Love their paper.

Baby Girl

Hello everyone,

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood...LOL..I'm singing the Mr.Rodgers song, remember him?  LOL!! I watched him every day and knew every song by heart, Ahh, memories!! It's a great sunny day today and that's why that song was in my head!!

Hope all you moms out there had a FABULOUS day yesterday and that you got spoiled from your hubbies and kids!! of course I think we should be spoiled every day ;)))

So today I wanted to replenish my baby girl cards. My cousin Melissa recently had a baby girl so I used and sold a lot of them. Here they are:

Cute right!! The little girl is a stamp from Whipper Snapper and the charms are from Whiff of Joy. I also used my new nestabilities, the flower above and the bright pink tag below.

I used this sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges:












I also made these 2 cards with no sketch, I had some ready cut paper and the "girl" tag made up so I just added ribbon and some charms again from Whiff of Joy.  The tag "GIRL" might not be clear in the picture,  I used my cuttlebug to make the letters, Love, love, love it!! and the foot prints on the background paper with an embossing folder..adorable!!

Happy Weekend everyone!!

It's a gorgeous sunny day in Montreal today!  Perfect for getting some work done outside the house!!

I have to say I've been feeling a little un-creative lately. We had very gloomy weather early this week and since them I'm having trouble waking up..LOL!! Today has helped a whole lot, so I hope to be showing you a lot more creations this week.

After removing tones of weeds outside, I came in for an hour to make this card (my hand was killing me..LOL):

I used my liquid pearls for the first time, it's the shiny purple you see on the butterfly image. This image was a freebie at Bugaboo Stamps a while ago and it's the first time I use it, isn't it pretty?

Celebrate / Joy

Hello everyone,

It was a very gloomy and rainy day today, made it really tough to wake up this morning. Then I spent 2 hours at my Gyno's office, I know you all know what that feels like..LOL!! and then I had to check in with work since my boss is out of town. The highlight was that my husband came home early so we went out to have lunch together, just the 2 of us, that was really nice..had some adult conversation while eating for a change..LOL!!.

I have to say I think these are my favorite cards to date! I had a lot of  inspiration: color combo from ColourQ, a sketch from Catch the Bug and a freebie from Sassy Studio Designs for one card and Bugaboo Stamps for the other, a WINNING combination if I do say sop myself.

OK I won't make you wait much longer, here are my CREATIONS!!!

My top card is Effie from Sassy studio designs. Their challenge is for celebrating 600 fabulous freebies. The card had to include EFFIE and Embossing, Flowers, Full of color, Ink and Embellishments, one for each letter of her name, EFFIE!! I think I accomplished that!

Hello my fellow bloggers,

This past weekend I dropped off a few cards to a dear friend of mine and she showed them to come of her clients. One of them requested a card for her daughter who will be turning 50. I was wondering what kind of card to make since I do not know the person that it is intended for and then SATC happened!! Yes I saw the last 10 minutes of Sex and the City, at the end they are celebrating Samantha's 50th birthday, "50 & FABULOUS", I think every woman should feel fabulous on her 50th so here is my creations:

I also got to use some of my new instabilities and border punches, that makes me so so happy!! Yes I know it doesn't take much, what can I say ;)

Live Love Laugh

LIVE, LOVE and LAUGH, with a snail?!?! Yes, it reminds me to take my time, slow down and know what matters most in life.

That could mean different things for different people of course..all I know is life is too short, and we must live it to the fullest!!

I grew up in a huge family, full of love and laughter, those are great memories to have. I want to make sure my kids have the same experiences so that they too can look back and smile.
